@COCOT20 If you have solar panels on your roof, and your energy consumptions is even at the end of the year, then yes it’s zero emissions.

If you pay for power from a gas plant, you’re producing about 2% of the emissions that a gas car would produce

@letsdance55 I saw “who killed the electric car” I they omited some important details all over the tendencius speach.
The electric car is pointless in the mayor of the world (Canada doesnt represent the 100% of the world, and San francisco neither).
And what I´ve stated is that this car isnt a ZERO emission, because because it works with energy, not hope, and tranforming energy releases CO2 in the mayor cases. When all the US and CHINA burn their energy from solar panels I will start to belive

@COCOT20 First of all you need to get on or near the same level of understanding to do that start with watching who killed the electric car and the follow up on how texaco ended up with the pattend for the battery tecnology If you think that big oil companies do not have there own agenda based on greed then you are the nieve one. Out here in Canada we produce our electricity with dams if you watch who killed the electric car you will meet a woman in california using solar panels (no space left)

@COCOT20 I would sure rather be locked in my garage with my electric car running rather than my gas car. PS I looked into buying a Nissan Leaf and guess what they are no longer taking reservations for them just another stall tactic from the car and oil companies to sedate the people into thinking they are actually getting what they want. You are a perfect example of a brainwashed dumb **** that they love.

@ppl00125 true. my average driving day is around 80 to 100 miles. I dont want to buy the car and run the batteries to empty every day, or risk having an on the spot moment where I have to be somewhere. I mean of course I work part time and commute 45 miles to college and back, so Im not the average America. Point is 200 mile rand would be just enough. I dont even worry about my gasoline vehicle when I have a half take or a 200 mile range.

This guy is great! This is the best, most comprehensive video I’ve seen on the Leaf. All Nissan dealers should have a kiosk on the showroom floor with this video running (looping) full screen.

Sheez, how many people get to choose which car they are going to use to take a girl out on a date? How many people really can even buy a car based on that? And do you want to date someone who really thinks less of you just because you’re using a car that has an electrical source of locomotion? Sounds rather fetish-like? Sure we live in a world that uses hydrocarbons for everything, so at some point there is some carbon invested, but if you get a solar roof, carbon is in large part eliminated.

@zagoaristides This will only work with perpetual motion which no one has been able to create. Not even the sun is perpetual. Something still has to start the car motor spinning. But even then why do we need an electric motor. Water power is also not the answer jefri53. It is hard enough keeping fresh drinking water available much less trying to feed a fleet of water cars. HP has to be increased without increasing the amperage. I have that answer and in a couple of years you will see it.

This electric car is just a scam by the oil/energy controllers.
Keeping you dependent on electrical power under their 100% control.
That’s why they kill the water-powered car designed by Stan Meyers and several others. When water power become the energy of choice, they will lose their monopoly of oil based energy.
