What Used cars have best mileage?

they way they come up with the EPA for mile estimate has change since than, now a lot of things involve such techonlogy so the 33mpg on highway is not a bad thing, it actually good for a small car but I will perfer 5 to 8 more gallon on this car because it so small and it should get over 40mpg. here is a link to find out how the new EPA work, from old school cars to new cars.
b/c of four things.
1. todays cars are tested to a stricter standard than cars from the 80′s and 90′s. given the same testing standards the fit got 38 mpg.
2. todays cars are much heavier than cas in the 80′s and 90′s were. those cars couldn’t be sold today b/c they wouldn’t pass safety standards. they didn’t have airbags(mostly) or side impact beams and only rudimentary side impact beams.
3. todays car’s are much larger. a fit, while being a subcompact today is actually similar in size to an 86 accord and much larger than a comparable civic. which brings us to #4
4. todays cars are much faster and more powerful. the 86 civic had about 75 hp vs the 117 of the fit. the civic would do 0-60 in about 15 seconds, the fit in 8.5…
better speed that’s why
